Basic Burndown chart
based on completed work.


Burndown chart based on complex algorithm that provides more accurate progress and forecast.

Burn Down chart shows implementation progress during release. It provides answers on the following questions:

  • What is the ideal progress line for release?
  • When release could be completed based on previous days progress?
  • How much effort project team may complete in each Iteration ?

It is recommended to use Time Tracking practice to get more accurate burn down charts. Developers should report time spent on all tasks every day and estimate remaining time.


  
Iteration Burn Down for 

Burn Down chart shows implementation progress during Iteration . It tracks user stories implementation progress and shows remaining effort for specific day.

This chart tracks tasks progress as well. For example, if developer finished one Task from User Story it will be reflected on the chart.
